WOYWW - 1

I loved Julia's idea, from the Stamping Ground blog, of showing what's on our workdesks every Wednesday.

Up to two weeks ago, my "workdesk" was our dinner table, the place where we eat, Eduardo, my husband, corrects his students' tests, Felipe, my step son, does his homework, etc.

I'm immensely happy that my DH made a wonderful shelf for our living room. It's huge, almost four meters long!! But it had to be big in order to fit everything that was left out when we changed our office into Lara's bedroom.

One of the wonderful aspects of the new shelf is that it has a specific place for my scrapbooking materials! I'll post the paper shelves later (soooo happy!!!), as well as the other shelves. Today, I would like to show my new workdesk - and now I can really call it this way!!!

Eduardo, his business partner Dercílio, and the furniture designer Juliana, created this beautiful shelf. They run a furniture and cases' industry called DERA. You can see more at their website: http://www.dera.com.br. I asked for some very scrapbook-specific details, hehe! Besides the paper shelves, I asked for a retractable table, an old dream. They came up with this one, which is perfect for what I need!! It can be extended, or used in half. I loooved it!!

Today, I worked on the gift tags for the keepsakes of my mother's (70 years-old on Saturday) and sister's (her b-day is tomorrow!) birthday party. I created the sentiment in Word, used the 2" circle punch, and pasted the sentiment to a designer paper cut with the Cricut cartdridge Accent Essentials. I'll show the complete project next weekend.

I love your neat and tidy workspace. Thanks so much for popping past my blog and for your lovely comments. Unfortunately I don't have the tutorial for the Circle Album as I was shown how to do it by Kaz (http://kazzellscrafts.blogspot.com). I am sure she would not mind you contacting her for the tutorial and it really is a fun project to make xx

Hi! I came back to read the English that you added! And sorry, I said Spanish but it is Portugese. That is a beautiful work area you have! The first time I looked I did not realize it was retractable! Wow, that is so great! Thank you for visiting me too!

wow - your new work area is awesome - and a really clever piece of furniture - there's no way you would be able to mess that up. Hope your mum and sister have great Birthdays and a party.

Oi Sandra
